This Privacy Policy explains how Halal Sniper Pro ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Chrome extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Halal Sniper Pro is an open-source Chrome extension that adds Halal compliance filtering and AI-powered research to OpenInsider.com and Musaffa.com.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear: we do not collect any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Browsing history or search queries
• Financial information or trading activity
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Cookies or tracking pixels
• Any form of analytics or telemetry

3. Data Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

3.1 API Keys (Optional)

• Google Gemini API key (for AI analysis)
• Alpha Vantage API key (for financial data)
• xAI Grok API key (for alternative AI analysis)

These keys are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us. They are only sent directly to the respective API providers (Google, Alpha Vantage, xAI) when you request AI analysis.

3.2 Cache Data

• Halal compliance results are cached locally to improve performance and reduce API calls
• User preferences (filter settings, display options)

4. Third-Party Services

When you use certain features, the extension communicates directly with third-party services using your own API keys:

4.1 Musaffa.com

Used to fetch Halal compliance status for stocks. The extension loads Musaffa pages in background tabs to retrieve compliance data. No personal data is sent.

4.2 Google Gemini API

Used for AI-powered research reports. When you click "AI Analysis", the stock ticker and publicly available insider trading data are sent to Google's API. Review Google's Privacy Policy.

4.3 xAI Grok API

Alternative AI provider for research reports. Same data as Gemini. Review xAI's Privacy Policy.

4.4 Alpha Vantage API

Used to fetch SEC financial data (balance sheets, income statements). Only stock tickers are sent. Review Alpha Vantage's Terms.

5. Open Source Transparency

Halal Sniper Pro is 100% open source. You can review every line of code on our GitHub repository:

This transparency ensures you can verify our privacy claims yourself.

6. Data Security

• All API keys are stored using Chrome's secure storage API
• No data is transmitted to any servers we control
• All third-party API calls use HTTPS encryption
• You can clear all stored data by removing the extension

7. Children's Privacy

This extension is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Since we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check this page periodically.

9. Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to access, modify, or delete. However, you can:

• Clear all locally stored data by removing the extension
• View exactly what's stored using Chrome's developer tools
• Review our source code to verify our practices
